Steps for Application for Darker Window

The following steps would need to be taken in order to put a darker window tint film on a driver’s side window:

• If the registered owner wishes to have the driver’s side window tinted darker owing to safety or health concerns, they must file an application with JPJ.
• An RM50 security fee will be applied to every application for a certification for a darker window tint for any authorized safety reasons.
• In addition, applications that are accepted will be charged an RM5,000 fee for two years. After the two years have gone, your application must be resubmitted.

The JPJ application process for using darker automobile tinted windows for the driver’s side window is as follows:

• First and foremost, obtain a copy of your identity card (IC), along with a copy of your vehicle registration certificate card. Then, submit them with your application to the Secretary of the JPJ & Branch Enforcement Division Furnish Form CG1 (Geran).
  
• Moreover, If you are applying for more than one vehicle, submit a separate application for each one. Also, each application form should be signed.
